This 3.2 Boxster S, 6 speed manual was bought as a non-runner a few years ago, we viewed the car prior to purchase and it would not start. Upon inspection there was signs of a failed cylinder head gasket, with a lot of oil in the water.
The car was purchased and the engine and gear box was removed. The cylinder heads were stripped from the engine and sent to an engineering shop to be tested and skimmed. One head came back as ok and was skimmed, however one failed it's pressure test due to a crack.
A second hand head was sourced from a large specialist breakers in Warrington, this was checked and skimmed and the engine reassembled with new gaskets and seals. When the engine was refitted to the car it still refused to start and knowing that the engine should now run, further checks were made. It came to light that the seller we dealt with had removed the fuel pump fuse, when it was replaced the engine fired up, however we then found that it has a bottom end knock and will need a bottom end re-build.

Thank you for looking at this advert, this is my beloved Patsy. I have just taken delivery of a brand new Audi convertible and my wife says Patsy has to go because "having 2 convertibles is ridiculous".......... wives eh?
This is a very solid and generally well looked after car, as you can see from one of the photos she has an extensive history and the mileage matches all the old MOTs. I have owned her for 3 years and tried to look after her, indeed in the last 6 months she has had new suspension at the rear, new brake pads all round, 2 new front tyres, a new battery and 2 new radiators.
She drives perfectly and everything works, she passed her MOT at the end of January.
However, she has a couple of bodywork issues which I want to point out straight away. I run pubs and one of my Chefs managed to reverse her into a wall, not too hard, but hard enough to slightly buckle the rear bumper. There is no structural damage, just cosmetic. The picture above of a big cardboard box is in fact a replacement bumper which is included with the car but it's blue so needs painting (a job I've been quoted 200 to do by a local garage). You can also see that there are 2 small dents in the drivers door where some idiot managed to hit her with a shopping trolley, luckily the paint isn't broken and these dents can be knocked out.

8 Months MOT No Advisories
Only 4 Previous Owners
Bought over winter as a lockdown whim, since done a lot of mechanical work to her ready for summer. Due to lack of space and getting carried away, now for sale!
Was meant to have history, but never arrived in the post as was bought contactless and unseen. Have the book pack which is stamped 2007. So only has the history of work Ive done. Have a look at the MOT History. Has never had any serious fails and only advisories have been bulbs or wipers, bar slightly pitted discs in 2008.
Had been sat for a few years when I got it and needed a bit of work. All the below done at my local garage with invoices:

Hi Im reluctantly selling my pride and joy a Porsche 986 Boxster 3.2s Tiptronic 260 Facelift Gen 2 model In midnight blue with grey leather and private reg plate as we are downsizing home and there is no garage to keep her in. I have owned her for nearly 4 years and in that time have only covered around 3,500 Beautiful miles in her as I have only driven her in the summer in good weather, she has the original CD player with Sat Nat and has the glass heated rear window in the electrically operated soft top and only 4 previous owners.
She has excellent service history being serviced on average every 10,000 miles. The last service I had carried out by Cameron Porsche Specialist at 64,000 miles where they carried out a Major service and a lot more which included Engine / Brake / Gear Box fluid and filter replacement. All six Spark Plug and DI Coil replaced. Pollen Filter replacement. Since I have owned her I have also had the following work carried out New stainless steel sports rear silencer fitted ( which makes her sound amazing ) New rear anti roll bar bushes, New rear brake pipes, New gear box inhibitor switch and in the last two months she has had a new Alternator / Ignition Switch / Battery and LCD Heater Display Screen at a cost of nearly 800.
